Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills is different. Our first priority is to provide much needed practical assistance to clients and their families in Halton Hills. We saw a real need for help in our community. We truly believe research is necessary, and the Canadian Cancer Society and other organizations are doing their part to fight this dreaded disease. However, we are different in that our organization is assisting cancer clients and their families suffering with cancer now - those that need support and help immediately. We are able to provide local service second to none in our community. Our more than 45 volunteer drivers provide transportation to treatment centers and each year exceed 250,000 Km's. In addition, we provide practical & emotional support, equipment, wigs & turbans, dietary supplements, Reiki, respite & palliative care and home-related services, all at no charge to the client. Our programs have assisted more than 1700 clients since 2001, and sadly that number increases each year. At any one time we assist nearly 100 patients and their families. |
