Spring 2010 Events!
Clothing Swap for CAShh
Our first clothing swap was held on March 6 and it was a smashing success. 19 fabulous women came out and swapped, all leaving with a bag full of new treasures (you know the old saying-one woman's trash is another one's treasure!)
Come out this Saturday, April 24, 2010. It’s only $20 to get in (including a tax receipt of equal value) and every penny will go to a great grassroots charity, Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH).
Spaces are limited! So RSVP to Tara Luxmore today: tara@clothingswap.ca.
Holly's Story
Holly was struck by the news she had breast cancer last August. Her cancer quickly became aggressive and she succumbed to the illness in January. Throughout her battle, Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills helped this young teacher, wife and mother of two boys, aged 1 and 4, keep her spirited, gutsy attitude. The local charity gave Holly a community of support—teaching and informing her about her disease, and giving her a support group of other cancer sufferers and survivors to talk to. And on the really tough days, CASHH’s services helped her get through—its cleaning services, Reiki sessions, and drivers who arrived to take her to and from the rounds of treatments were like a ray of sunshine.
Holly told us the charity made a huge difference in her life—and your donations can help CASHH continue to do its great work.
