What do we do? Theses are just some of the items and all are locally handled within our community...
• Our volunteer drivers transport clients to hospitals in Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga and Brampton for treatment, as well as various other locations. Transportation is one of the most necessary functions of our client services. Our drivers take at the most 1 or 2 clients at a time so they do not wait following their treatments.
• Our drivers are sensitive to all the clients needs. “People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.” Their compassion and thoughtfulness is overwhelming. They are the ones who interact with the clients on a regular basis. Some of the drivers have been in the passenger seat. They know the fears and anxiety that their passengers experience on their first trip. They seem to know how much to say or do for them, because they have been in that seat before. The drivers receive compensation of .48/km plus parking if needed. This is a small token when sometimes they could be anywhere from 3 hours to 8 hours. That is a long day, but never is there a complaint.

• Loan materials - hospital beds, walkers, canes, wigs, turbans, temporary prosthesis
