Through Canada Helps, Cancer Assistance Services has received $1,000 in donations anonymously several times a year.
Many of the drivers for Cancer Assistance Services have been clients and are very thoughtful and generous in giving back their time and experience.
Every month, especially December, many wonderful people come to the office bearing gifts; the gift of food for the office. This donation is greatly appreciated.
A very dear friend to Cancer Assistance Services donated a beautiful handmade quilt that had been created by his late wife, in her honour. This quilt raised hundreds of dollars.
Little hands help ...Children are our leaders of tomorrow. Cancer Assistance Services is blessed with many children who do special events such as cutting hair, choosing donations to Cancer Assistance Services instead of birthday gifts, collecting beer bottles, and selling their Busy Bee creations. Twister Girls Hockey Team went door-to-door caroling at Christmas with their parents, and raised funds for Cancer Assistance Services.
